No Bake Cream Cheese Dessert

Food Sharing Network guest contributor Helena Dinis of Kearny, New Jersey is a great cook, and she knows a good recipe when she tastes it. Here she shares a friend’s recipe for a cheesecake that doesn’t require baking.

No Bake Cream Cheese Dessert

  • 1 quart heavy cream
  • 1 quart whole milk
  • 2 packages cream cheese (8 ounces each)
  • 1 box Knox Gelatin (4 envelopes)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 can Lucky Leaf Strawberry Filling (21 ounces) *

Mix together sugar, cream, milk and cream cheese in a small pot.

On low heat, stir until cheese melts.

In a small bowl, mix gelatin with a little water.

Add gelatin mixture to ingredients in pot, stirring well.

Cook until mixture comes to a boil.

Remove from heat and pour into cheesecake pan.

Cool.

Refrigerate at least one hour before serving.

Remove cake from pan and top with strawberry filling.

Optional: Add your favorite cheesecake crust.
