Toni’s Waldorf Salad

The Basics:

A great Thanksgiving side.

5 crisp apples suitable for eating raw peeled, cored and cut into bite-size pieces.

1 c. chopped celery

1 c. chopped walnuts

Juice of 1 small lemon, freshly squeezed

Your favorite mayonnaise

Juice the lemon. Straining out pits, pour juice into mixing bowl.

Toss apples with lemon juice as you cut them to limit discoloration.

Toss apples with celery and walnuts.

Coat lightly with mayonnaise.

Cover and chill for a few hours before serving.
