Crowdpleaser: Old-Fashioned Sour Cream Crumb Cake

With company on the way, I wanted to make a coffee cake that would truly be a treat. In my opinion, too many crumb cakes are too sweet and not moist and favorable.

I was not disappointed. I chose this recipe for a few reasons. It’s a simple recipe that uses butter and sour cream.  Another good feature is its size. I didn’t want a big cake that would be hanging around for a while. Personally, I like coffee cake when it is very fresh. Btw, since one of my guests does not always like sweet desserts, I skipped the glaze.
